Methodist Church

Drayton United Methodist Church appears on the National Register of Historic Places. Located on Main Street, the beautiful church may be toured weekdays when the secretary is in, or by making advance arrangements. Its gorgeous stained glass windows can only be appreciated from within! Also on the church grounds is a marker dedicated to the Methodist pioneers that settled Drayton.

Cemeteries

Bowesmont Townsite

The Bowesmont Townsite lies eight miles north of Drayton, ND, along the BNSF Railroad line. The Red River Flood of 1997 devastated the town, leaving only the church standing. West of the townsite is the cemetery.

Bowesmont Cemetery

Bowesmont Cemetery lies straight west of Bowesmont, east of Interstate 29.  It is worth the drive to see this beautiful, lovingly-maintained cemetery.

Drayton Cemetery and St. Edward’s Cemetery

The Drayton and St. Edward’s Catholic cemeteries are located on Highway 66 and Interstate 29. This well-kept area is a beautiful place to visit, and holds much information about the history of Drayton and its families.
