Snowmobiling

Drayton’s crisp wintertime temperatures allow for good snowmobiling conditions all winter long. Casual snowmobilers enjoy their machines daily, with prime riding areas readily accessible from any part of town. Serious sledders can access the area’s many miles of groomed trails by jumping on the trail that passes just west of Drayton. Drayton lies near the border between the Red River-North and Northeast (or Pembina Gorge) trail systems, which together boast 880 miles of groomed riding. The Gorge itself is a ‘must see’ natural phenomenon. This system ties into the Canadian trail at four major points and it also ties into two major Minnesota trails. The systems offer many miles of riding and usually have very good snow.

Be sure to check local maps and Trail conditions.

The Valley Snowdrifters Club was formed by a group of people interested in promoting snowmobile riding and safety. Over the last few years with record snowfalls our membership has grown along with the renewed interest in snowmobile riding. Our club sponsors several events throughout the year. Monthly meeting are held through the winter months.
